About Megan
Hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, Megan is a Japanese American musical theatre performer currently based in Chicago. She recently graduated from the University of the Arts with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre and Music Minor.
She is a dynamic, multifaceted performer with extensive experience working both collegiately and regionally, as well as with the developmental process of musicals and workshops. She is committed to an open-minded, authentic, and raw approach to theater; a firm believer that our work can constantly live and breathe. She is dedicated to lead any space with kindness and grace.
With roots in choral singing, piano, and real life glee (Midwestern Competitive Show Choir), Megan has knack for advanced musicianship and musicality. She has an eagerness to challenge, expand and share her artistry, and is dedicated to constantly exceeding expectations. She can adapt quickly and efficiently, and is not afraid to take risks outside of her comfort zone.
As an Asian American woman and performer, diversity remains at the forefront of her work. Her identity is an important part of her craft, and aspires towards the celebration of underrepresented voices. Fortunate to have participated in many new musical workshops originating Asian stories, she strives to continue developing and revitalizing stories for people of color.

When Off Stage...
